Fine-Tune and Evaluate Language Models

Get a ready-to-run fine-tuning kit for your model and data: cleaned corpus, LoRA or QLoRA config sized for your GPU, tracked runs and an honest evaluation.

Fine-Tune and Evaluate Language Models agent board

About

Go from a pile of raw examples to a fine-tuning run you can trust, with the data, configs and evaluation a seasoned ML researcher would prepare.

What it does

  • Cleans a training corpus: deduplication, quality filters, personal data masked, with a data card of what was removed
  • Writes LoRA, QLoRA or full fine-tuning configs and scripts sized for your GPU (Axolotl, Unsloth, PEFT, TRL)
  • Sets up preference and reward alignment with DPO, GRPO or SimPO
  • Logs every run with its parameters and metrics so experiments compare
  • Evaluates models on held-out data and benchmarks, explains predictions and studies internal features with sparse autoencoders (SAELens)

What you need

  • Nothing to start: share a sample of your data, or it works from a public dataset that fits your goal
  • Hugging Face (optional) to find models and datasets and publish your cleaned dataset or adapter
  • A Weights & Biases key (optional) to log runs to your workspace; it is stored as a secret
  • Your own GPU or cloud for training: the agent prepares everything and runs the CPU steps

How setup works

You get a first fine-tuning kit in the first minutes. It then learns your base model, hardware and how you judge success, and cleans a real sample of your data with you.

What stays in your hands

  • Personal data is masked before your data goes anywhere
  • Nothing is published to Hugging Face or elsewhere without your go-ahead

What you will need

  • Hugging Face

Align a model on preferences

Use when asked to align a model's answers on preferences or a reward, with DPO, GRPO, SimPO or another post-training method.

Build a fine-tuning kit

Use when asked to fine-tune or adapt a language model on their data, with LoRA, QLoRA or a full fine-tune.

Evaluate a model

Use when asked whether a model or fine-tune got better or is ready to ship, to compare models or checkpoints, audit a model's quality, or explain its predictions.

Prepare a training corpus

Use when asked to clean, deduplicate, filter or mask personal data in a dataset before training a model on it.

Frequently asked questions

Does it train the model itself?

It prepares the data, configs and scripts and runs the CPU steps such as cleaning and checks. Training runs on your GPU or cloud with the commands it gives you, and it reads the logs and results back with you.

Can it fine-tune Llama or Mistral with LoRA on a single GPU?

Yes. It picks LoRA or QLoRA settings, sequence length and batch size for your GPU memory and explains the trade-offs, using Axolotl, Unsloth or PEFT.

How does it handle personal data in my training set?

It masks emails, phone numbers, names and other personal data before the data is used or shared, and lists what it masked in the data card for you to check.

Can it do DPO or GRPO alignment?

Yes. It helps build preference pairs or a reward function and writes the TRL training setup, with checks that the model keeps its general ability.

How do I know the fine-tuned model is better?

It scores the base model and the fine-tuned one the same way on held-out data from your task, with uncertainty and examples of wins and failures.

How much does it cost to run?

The template is free. Runs use your Rerun credit; GPU time runs on your own hardware or cloud account.
