Find Research Gaps and Draft Papers

Map your field's literature, spot the real gaps, rank the research questions worth your next months, then log your experiments and draft the paper.

Find Research Gaps and Draft Papers agent board

About

Pick your next research problem on evidence, not on a hunch, then get help all the way to the manuscript.

What it does

  • Maps what recent work covers in your area and where the gaps are, each gap backed by the papers that show it
  • Proposes testable research questions and compares them on novelty, feasibility and risk against your real resources
  • Plans a research project in workstreams (literature, experiments, analysis, synthesis) and coordinates them
  • Turns a notebook or experiment log into a reproducible result record for your team
  • Structures, drafts and reviews your paper, including for machine learning conferences

What you need

  • Nothing to start: describe your research area in one sentence
  • Google Drive, to read your own papers and notebook exports from your folders (other storage works too)

How setup works

Your first gap map and ranked questions arrive in the first minutes. Along the way it learns your methods, resources and target venue, then connects where your papers and notebooks live.

What stays in your hands

  • The choice of problem: it recommends and explains, you decide
  • It never invents a citation or a number, and flags what it could not verify

What you will need

  • Google Drive

Compare research problems

Use when asked to compare research ideas or problems, weigh their risks, or decide which one to pursue next.

Draft the paper

Use when asked to structure, draft, revise or check a research paper, including for a conference or journal submission.

Log an experiment

Use when asked to document experiment results, or to turn a notebook, a log or an export into a write-up or a ticket.

Map the research gaps

Use when asked to find gaps in a literature, a field or a set of documents, or to propose new research questions or hypotheses from them.

Frequently asked questions

How does it find gaps in the literature?

It reads recent papers from your folders or from open sources such as OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, PubMed and arXiv, maps the concepts and methods they cover, and shows the zones few papers address, each with the papers that show it. It also searches for negative results before calling something a gap.

Can it help me choose a PhD or project topic?

Yes. It proposes testable questions and compares them on why they matter, what is new, what they need, their risks and fallbacks, weighed against your data, compute and deadline. The decision stays yours.

Can it help write a paper for NeurIPS, ICML or ACL?

Yes. It outlines the claims, drafts sections, checks baselines, ablations and reproducibility details, and follows the venue's call for papers and template. It reviews your draft like a referee would.

Can it document my experiments from a Jupyter notebook?

Yes. It reads the notebook's cells, outputs and plots and writes a reproducible record: hypothesis, setup, results with uncertainty, conclusion and next step. It can file it in Linear or Notion if you connect them.

Does it make up references?

No. It only cites papers it has opened and flags anything it could not verify.

How much does it cost to run?
