Build and Maintain Your Automations

Turn any API's docs into a ready-to-import workflow or connector, then keep your n8n, Make or Zapier automations healthy, backed up and restorable.

Build and Maintain Your Automations agent board

About

An automation developer that connects your tools from their API docs and looks after your workflows once they run.

What it does

  • Reads a service's API docs and maps the operations your job needs: endpoint, auth, inputs, outputs, limits
  • Builds the workflow for your platform (n8n, Make, Zapier) ready to import, or a small script, plugin or MCP server
  • Swaps a connected account across many workflows, one checked step at a time
  • Reports failing, slow or silent automations with the likely cause and the fix
  • Backs up every workflow with versions, and restores missing ones without duplicates

What you need

  • Nothing to start: name two tools and the job between them
  • n8n (optional) to check, deploy and back up your real workflows; it works with Make or Zapier instead
  • GitHub (optional) for versioned backups of every workflow

How setup works

You get a first integration in the first minutes. It then learns your platform and habits, connects it if you want, and sets up a weekly health check and backup.

What stays in your hands

  • No workflow is activated, overwritten or deleted, and no live connection changed, without your go-ahead
  • Credentials stay in your platform, never in exported files

What you will need

  • GitHub

  • n8n

Back up the workflows

Use when asked to back up automations, keep versions of workflows in a repository or a drive, and on the weekly automation check.

Build an integration

Use when asked to connect two tools, build a workflow on n8n, Make or Zapier, or write a connector, plugin or MCP server for a service.

Check automation health

Use when asked whether the user's automations are working or which need attention, including from a pasted executions export or error log, to find failing, slow or silent workflows, and on the weekly automation check.

Map an API from its docs

Use when asked to read a service's API documentation, extract its schema or operations, or list what an API can do before building on it.

Frequently asked questions

Which automation platforms does it work with?

n8n, Make and Zapier, and plain code (a script, a plugin or an MCP server) when you prefer. It offers the matching app from the Rerun catalogue for your platform.

Can it build a workflow from an API's documentation?

Yes. It reads the official docs, lists the operations the job needs with auth, inputs and limits, then gives you a workflow file to import and the steps to test it.

Will it change my live workflows?

No. It builds and tests on a copy and only activates, overwrites or deletes a workflow after your go-ahead.

How do backups work?

Once your platform and GitHub (or a drive folder) are connected, it exports each workflow without credentials and saves only what changed, so you keep a version history. It can restore missing workflows without duplicating existing ones.

Can it tell me when automations fail?

Yes. The weekly check groups failures by cause, flags workflows that stopped triggering and connections about to expire, and gives the fix for each.

How much does it cost to run?

The template is free. Runs use your Rerun credit.
